About Felipe...
Felipe grew up in Iowa City, IA, as the youngest of three in a family of five. Most of his days as a little one were spent on the soccer field where he began his career in playing make believe: practices were not just practices - but rather, World Cup Championships where the Soccer God's struck with fervor. Outside the drama on the field, Felipe did manage to find his way to the theater, donning a cow suit as he sang Snoopy's 'Suppertime' in a local Children’s show. In truth, however, his first entrance into the dramatic art of acting was long before all this: when his older sister had him play the lead role of Chucky in a classic hand-held, home-made video. His emergence from the family cabinet made for a cinematic moment that has stuck with him to this day. Fast forward to his twenties, after playing three years of Division I Collegiate Soccer, Felipe finally found his way back to the stage and camera at the University of Iowa. From there, he continued his pursuit of Acting in both Iowa and Chicago, eventually playing Jason in the Goodman Theatre’s production of Sweat, before heading down to Southern Methodist University to get his MFA in Acting.
When not working, Felipe enjoys spending time with his loved ones, loved animals, outside in nature on the water, trail, or mountain, writing, reading a book, studying history, philosophy, and Critical Race Theory, practicing mindfulness, meditation, and spirituality, playing most any sport or play time game, and almost always, always...playing and writing music.

Undermain Theatre's 'Hedda Gabler' Review:
"The cast is a strong ensemble, but Felipe Carrasco as Eilert Lovborg leads as the self-destructive writer. Carrasco gives Lovborg intensity, and an unapologetic humanity that captures Ibsen’s brilliant characterizations." - Dallas Art Beat
Babes with Blades Theatre Co.'s 'The Lady Demands Satisfaction' Review:
"Felipe Carrasco's (Osric) physical comedy is outstanding. It was like watching a Logan-square sad boi at a poetry open mic, who was learning how to walk, while also maybe being on a psychedelic drug. So many power lunges, so little time." -Hooligan Mag Chicago
Riverside Theatre's 'Bomb-Itty Of Errors' Review:
"But it is Carrasco...who is the breakout star of this tight crew." "...Carrasco is omnipresent, running through the set's simple four-door setup to emerge as a new character only seconds later." "...His Luciana is an absolute joy...He plays the character with the crossed-dressed dedication of a Kids in the Hall cast member, offering a warmth and depth to what could easily be a one-note dumb blonde stereotype." -Little Village Magazine
Teatro Vista's 'The Madres' Review:
"As a government solider Diego, Felipe Carrasco positively makes the skin crawl with his line delivery and his transformation as a fierce abuser of his power." -Broadway World Review
16th Street Theater's 'Harbur Gate' Review:
"Stephanie Shum and Felipe Carrasco are especially strong as a mismatched, but still functional team: he's a traditional jarhead who doesn't believe women have a place in the marines; she's a marine who does." -Chicago Reader
"However, the play hits its stride in the flashback to Moss's convoy trip with Russo (Felipe Carrasco), a brash twenty-one-year-old- with responsibilities far beyond his maturity. Both actors are magnificent in this scene, she repressed and suspicious, he chauvinistic and rebellious." -Picture This Post
Tympanic Theatre Co.'s 'Waiting for Godot' Review:
"The production is not without fresh takes particularly from Felipe Carrasco, whose Estragon promises good things ahead for the young actor." -NewCity Chicago
Filament Theatre's 'Pinocchio: A Folk Musical' Review:
"Felipe Carrasco plays Geppetto with warmth and humanity. He also charms on his guitar accompaniment, as well." -Chicago Theatre Review
Dreamwell Theater's 'The Whipping Man' Reveiws:
"Masterful moments of work were offered by Felipe Carrasco..." -Iowa Theatre Blog
"Carrasco's journey as Caleb was such a clear and solid study in character development that I hated him at the top and loved him in the end." - Iowa Theatre Blog
Riverside Theatre's 'Cyrano' Review:
"Carrasco as Le Bret / Musician provides a skilled narrator and sidekick. His timing is right on and he’s incredibly likable." -Iowa Theatre Blog
